Data Based Reflection

On my exam, my main problem seemed to be that I forgot details that we're important but not absolutely necessary for me to explain myself. I also had trouble explaining myself, like i knew what i wanted to say but i had trouble getting it out in a way that made sense. On the quote identifications, i knew what the quotes were about, but i didn't quite know the specifics, like why they said it, etc. This disadvantage came from me not doing everything that Ms. Duke told us to do over the semester, and this is something that i am going to fix. Also, a bug problem on my exam was the legibility of my writing. And that is another big thing that i am going to fix so that in the second semester I will do significantly better than i did in the first.

My plan to improve this year is to work more diligently and manage my time much better. The first thing that i am doing to improve on this is i have allotted myself two times during the week to do my blogs, which is what I am doing right now! The other thing that i am doing is i am forcing myself to do my English homework before any other classes work so that i make sure that at least it gets done. I am going to handle the legibility issue by writing all of the notes that we are taking in class for the semester by hand instead of typing them so that when i am rushing on the exam in the summer my writing will be legible enough to understand all of it.

  1. Cole, your handwriting can definitely use some work! Haha a lot of times, what you are trying to say on paper is correct, but because it is so difficult for people to read, it is interpreted the wrong way. Also, I think it is great that you are taking initiative on your work. Junior years has been tough for everyone, but we cannot give up just yet! We still have a year and a half to go.
